Coming soon to a school near you …

Unions are planning to target school children in a bid to boost their ailing membership numbers.
The front page of The Australian today says it all: “Unions to recruit children“.
It’s bizarre but true that such indoctrination is allowed in Australia. Declaring their aim to “capture the next generation of workers”, union officials said they would consider going into schools to “educate” students about unions.
Mao and Stalin would be proud.
It’s allowed to happen because many teachers are union members and we have gutless Labor State Governments who see this as an easy concession they can make to the union movement.
Although unions have conceded they will only enter schools with “the permission of parents and education authorities” that’s a given.
I don’t object to a union official speaking to my children if it’s relevant.
If it’s simply to “educate” them about unions I don’t want a bar of it.
We don’t allow priests to “educate” children about religion in state schools and nor should we allow union hacks to indoctrinate them about politics and industrial relations.
Students should learn about unions through academic studies of politics and history.
