Greens miss the bus

The Greens are aiming to make their campaign “carbon neutral”.
“The party is committed to offsetting all its greenhouse gas emissions produced during the election campaign. As part of this effort lead Senate candidate for Victoria Dr Richard Di Natale is catching V-Line trains wherever possible when he campaigns in country Victoria.”
The Victorian Greens estimate their candidates and staff will emit up to 200 tonnes of carbon dioxide through campaign activities. They have chosen an Australian offset provider who will remove an additional 30 per cent on top of our greenhouse emissions.
They could actually save the electorate a lot of hot air if they didn’t campaign at all. They might consider not printing how to vote cards or any election advertising. That would make the world a better place.
