Apparently there was barely a voice to be heard against Australia becoming a republic among the 100 people in the summit’s governance group.
Only one, in fact. Ninety-nine percent support for a republic is hardly reflective of Australian society.
The remarkable summit majority confirms the elitism of the group and how out of touch the delegates are with mainstream Australia.
