Former Liberal leader John Hewson doesn’t mince words when he says Peter Costello is lazy and lacks balls.
Writing today in Fairfax publications, Hewson lets rip on Costello, saying “enough is enough”.
“You are bone-lazy. Just count your output, press releases/conferences, speeches, electoral visits, and other examples of your work ethic or “availability” compared with (say) Paul Keating when he was treasurer.”

Symonds needs to take a break
Andrew Symonds has apparently been ruled out of selection for the Australian tour of South Africa.
That’s a good decision.
Symonds obviously has problems and needs to be rehabilitated like South African ace Herschelle Gibbs.
It’s ironic that Symonds objected to (allegedly) being called a monkey, but then (without doubt) called an opposition player a “lump of shit”.
Ricky Ponting’s loyalty to his players is admirable, but it’s also knee jerk. Read more
