Web wars

There has been a bit said about the use of You Tube videos for political purposes. Frankly I don’t think they are likely to be influential at all. The people who are motivated to watch them will almost certainly have a predetermined opinion.

Web sites however, will be relevant in this campaign, I believe. Swinging voters will visit them for information. Even people who have already formed a position could be swayed if the message is strong enough.

It’s no surprise the Liberal Party has already moved their web site into election mode with advertising material and news announcements up to date following John Howard’s calling of the poll. Read more
